چکیده

This study was aimed to investigate the effects of diosmin (DIO) in rats exposed emamectin benzoate (EB). For this purpose, a total 60 Wistar Albino male rats, aged 6 8 weeks and weighing 180 250 g, were used, 10 each group. The groups determined, respectively, control, EB (10 mg kg-1), DIO (50 (100 kg-1) + indicated doses applied by gavage for 21 days. At end trial period, heart puncture performed under anesthesia blood samples taken into tubes with heparinized anticoagulant-free properties. liver, kidney, brain, testis, lung tissues removed after cervical dislocation. While some biochemical markers, such as aspartate aminotrans- ferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), triglyceride, cholesterol, protein, albumin, uric acid, urea nitrogen (BUN) and, creatinine assessed serum, oxidative stress indicators, MDA, NO, SOD, CAT, GSH-Px, GR, GST, GSH, determined tissue samples. investigation, no changes between parameters control group discovered. Comparing group, it found that levels MDA NO tissues/ erythrocytes had significantly increased. activity CAT enzymes, well GSH levels, have decreased. Furthermore, serum protein albumin reduced, although AST, ALT, ALP, LDH, BUN, levels/activities elevated. Depend- ing on dose, values coadministered EMB close those In conclusion, is proposed could provide protection against EMB-induced toxicity rats.

Protective Effects of Crocin against Cisplatin-Induced Acute Renal Failure and Oxidative Stress in Rats

Background. The major side effect of cisplatin, used in some tumours, is nephrotoxicity. Reactive oxygen species and oxidative damage are the most important factors in cisplatin-induced acute renal failure. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the protective effects of crocin against cisplatin-induced acute renal failure and oxidative stress in rat. Methods. In this study, animal...

Protective effects of oestradiol against cadmium-induced changes in blood parameters and oxidative damage in rats.

The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effects of oestradiol (E2, 4 mg kg-1 b.w. i.p.) against cadmium-induced (Cd, 2 mg kg-1 b.w. i.p.) blood changes in rats. Cadmium induced a significant decline in haemoglobin, haematocrit, and total erythrocyte, lymphocyte, and thrombocyte count, whereas total leukocytes and granulocytes increased. A significant increase was also observed i...
